Misty invented this trick for the Houdini Séance Room at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, California. She intended to start her magical ghost show with it… but instead saved it for YOU to enjoy. I’m so happy I’ve finally learned about this legitimately magical place!!! And for my vote (other than just a fantastic bit of magic), at least the literary geek in me says it’s a magical tribute to the famous Poem, “Annabel Lee”, by Poe!
(It can be both, right?)
I love this series and I’m so overjoyed to have found out about them when I needed a bit of extra magic (and I’m trying to pace myself and NOT watch all of the magic Wednesdays at once… but that’s really hard because I lack any sense of self control or really moderation of any kind when it comes to the actual embodiment of Zatanna! And if I find out there’s a trick in here wherein you say words backwards and become magical… I may geek out a lot. Misty Lee AND Paul Dini? No wonder Zatanna and Harley (next to green arrow because I’m an archer… so any green arrow plot line is lovely, so Black Canary tends to be another favorite…, but when I started learning magic, well, Zatanna quickly won out;)
Now if only I could magically create a moderation spell so I don’t binge every one of these episodes… now that’s a trick I could absolutely use.
